I know she is a member of Wonder Girls. I listen to JYP Entertainment' artists the most. I have no words for Yubin, meaning I am neutral.
The music video is well executed and very throwback. Personally, I would not listen to this song or rewatch the music video. I do admire her voice. I may listen to her other songs, but I just will have Sunmi's 'Gashina' in my head on repeat.
When I was watching the music video, I kind of thought Yubin looks like Red Velvet's Joy in the future. That aside, I do like the minimal effort of trying to amplify the music video's every detail. It is clean and unique to the generation nowadays. This begin Yubin's solo debut, I did not expect anything. I do listen to "Tell Me" by Wonder Girls, but I can't pinpoint which member is Yubin.
After researching her a bit, I found out she has the exact same birthday as my bias in GFriend. And she was main rapper? Wow! Now I really wonder what her song would be like with a little rap here and there.
By the way, I swear the small instrumental intro of the song is very familiar.
As I watch her Mnet comeback stage, I see a bit of TWICE and Sunmi in her. Perhaps it is just because as I am watching her, I think of the other artists in JYP Entertainment. I am sure this song and her debut as a solo artist made many people thrilled and fulfilled, but the choreography and backdrop of this song of hers is not that memorable for me.
All in all, she is still an amazing K-pop idol. Also, I do love the part in song where she says "yeah." The way she stressed the word is very new, since many songs have "yeah" in it.
Here are all of her comeback/debut stages so far:
Also here is her dance practice video (close up ver.):
